2 Week Surgery Anniversary is Today!

It's now two weeks after my Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy and I'm feeling better (physically).

(sorry for potato quality pic)

Good news is that I'm getting words of encouragement on NeoGAF and Facebook, but the bad news is that I haven't received a penny on my GoFundMe page or heard a reply on Craigslist for a free bicycle.

Technically, I haven't learned to ride a bike since the last bicycle I rode was when I was 9 and it had training wheels. An adult tricycle would be freakin' rad to down, but that's beyond my capabilities to get sadly.

Enough doom and gloom, I hope you guys have a great day!

Weekend After Surgery

Sorry for not updating for a while! I had my surgery on the 13th of July and came home on the 15th. I'm starting to feel better and if you want to help me, go to my GoFundMe and donate!

Surgery Delayed but All Hope is Not Lost

Well, I have good news and bad news..

Bad News: My surgery got delayed

Good News: I'll be able to get a VSG (Gastric Sleeve) instead and within this month instead of waiting for August. I've done my blood and urine analysis and hope to get the results faxed over by the 19th of June to the surgeon's office.

Gastric Sleeve might have a little bit less weight loss, but I won't need to be on a big vitamin regimen for the rest of my life other than 1-3 vitamins.

May Weight Loss Update

With water weight fluctuating, I'm now currently at 313 lbs with a weight loss of 143lbs!

In other news, our central ac broke down and we had to sign up for a Lowes cc to get my dad an AC for his bedroom (after Vietnam, he totally hates any kind of heat) and now I hope that this summer isn't totally brutal.

Still waiting for the results of my sleep lab and my psych test and for those results to be sent to my surgeon. Hopefully surgery will happen before the end of the year.

Randoms® Review

(Note: I was compensated by Smiley360 with a free full sample for this product review.)

If you got a sweet tooth, then Randoms are for you. They got a mix of shapes and flavors. Some even have fruit filling in the middle.

I was tempted to eat all of them, but I only sampled about 2 servings worth to be able to do the review because I don't normally eat any non-sugar-free candy. I promptly let the rest of my family have the rest, though!

My mother and father liked the taste of these as well. If you don't have any problems with regular candy, I'd say give them a try. 9/10.

March Weight Loss Update! (Hint: It's good news.)

I'm currently at 328.6 lbs and lost 6 lbs last month. Couldn't really start to do my daily walks until yesterday because of the icy and dangerous roads.

I've lost a total of 127.4 now in March, plus next Tuesday I have to talk to my surgeon for weight loss surgery as my insurance pre-approved the surgery. Didn't find a free used treadmill yet.

Wish me luck :)

February Weight Loss Update!

I'm now at 334 lbs, with a weight loss of 122 lbs!

Congrats me!

Hopefully, I can get to the weight that I can use an non-bariatirc exercise treadmill or crossfit machine. (I can't afford either, but I'm looking on Craigslist for a free one.)

Emergen-C® Review

(Note: I was compensated by Smiley360 with a free full sample for this product review.)

Sometimes, we just don't want to take a vitamin. Big and bulky, vitamins are sometimes burdensome for people who have a hard time with larger pills (me!!) or don't like their fishy taste.

For people like us, there's Emergen-C, a vitamin you can drink! There's a variety of flavors including: Super Orange, Coconut-Pineapple, Strawberry-Kiwi, Immune+ Citrus, Warmers Berry Blend and much more.

All you have to do is pour a packet into a 1/2 to 3/4 cup of water, stir, and enjoy! The flavor I liked the best so far was Strawberry-Kiwi. It was very fizzy and it tasted great!

Yum!
The only problem I see is that they only have one sugar-free flavor in their arsenal. Other than that, once you find your favorite flavor, you'll enjoy drinking your vitamins!

Want a free sample and coupon? Click here!

(Emergen-C does none of the following:"boost" or "enhance" your immune system, prevent, treat or cure colds, flu or any other illnesses, or give you increased energy levels.)

Welcome to Dord's World, or blog something something..

As there are certain things in life, like death and taxes, that eventually happen to all of us.

Blogs should be put up in that category.. So where should I begin.

I've been a tech user since the age of 4, as my first console was a Colecovision. Remember back in the day where the controller resembled a telephone? We've come a long way, haven't we?

(Maybe later I'll detail my gaming history, but for now we'll just make a blog post that isn't too long winded.)

A more important part of my life is my fight with obesity as it started it elementary school.. you could say I've lived a sort of a tortured life from it. Since June of 2014, I've been losing weight with Weight Watchers (had to cancel in December because insurance stopped supporting it) in conjunction with my insurance company to qualify for bariatric surgery.

As of this post, I've lost close to 120 lbs from my high of 456 lbs. I wish the weather would warm up a bit so I can get out and do my daily walks (I won't get into any personal details, lets just say that I can't afford a proper treadmill for my current weight)

Anyways, this blog will be about my life: weight loss journey, product reviews, beermoney tips, and more. The first few posts will be a bit spammy as I try to catch up with things that are needed to be posted. (please forgive my spelling and punctuation, this is my first blog)

Stay Tuned!
